Gingy Houses

A few advent faves from this week:

The Wilton prebaked mini gingerbread village kit bought at Walmart was new for us this year.  In the past, we've used one large gingerbread house which was always a bit tricky to divide up for the kids to decorate.  This year Wilton has put out a "mini-village" with five little cottage type houses.  Each kid had two for decorationg.  The kit came with plenty of glue like icing and we used the candies provided plus some Halloween candy to decorate them.

The next day Lena tried to eat one for dessert, and even I couldn't pull it apart!!

Another fun and easy advent activity is to gather around the lap top and watch some Christmas light displays on you tube.

Finally, I've added some pics of this years tree chopping adventure at "the farm".  It was a really great day and though I think we all lost a bit of patience at different points of the trip, we made it out of the forest together!

Happy weekending!
